General Hospital star Chris McKenna shared a wild theory about who killed Jack Brennan.
On the September 1 episode of GH, Jack was found dead in the Metro Court pool. Although several characters are potential suspects at the moment, the show hasn’t yet revealed what happened to the World Security Bureau’s Port Charles Bureau Chief.
In an exclusive interview with TV Insider, McKenna — who joined GH in February 2025, after taking over as Jack from Charles Mesure — spoke out about his shocking exit from the soap opera while also weighing in on who he thinks offed his character.
“Though it’s not the end I woulda chosen for Jack, I hope this generates months of riveting television around ‘Who killed Brennan?’” McKenna told TVI. “And I hope that Willow [Tait] (Katelyn MacMullen) killed him. It’s time she graduates to full-on murder.”
Jack did know that Willow was the one who shot and drugged Drew, after all. Could that have been enough of a motive for her to kill him off? Wilder things have happened in soap opera history.
Two individuals who could be in deep trouble for their role in Jack’s death are Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). On GH, Drew convinced Ava to help distract Jack by drugging him with sleeping pills. Drew, meanwhile, disabled the hotel’s security system so he could search Jack’s hotel room for evidence the WSB chief had against him.
Additionally, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was spotted threatening Jack at the Metro Court Gardens not long before he was found dead. This could cause issues for her despite their romantic relationship — especially since Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) saw it happen. Not to mention, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and Danny Morgan (Asher Anotnyzyn) were also the ones who discovered Jack’s body.

I don't think Willow had anything to do with Brennan's death because she needed him alive since he's the only one who had the evidence against Drew that she needed.So if Brennan turned up dead or missing Willow would use an ally that she desperately needed.
