Ken Jennings Says ‘Jeopardy!’s Paolo Pasco Is ‘Always Asking Him Questions’

What is… stop following him? Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings shared a photo related to Masters contestant Paolo Pasco as he said he is “always asking him questions.”

“Even when I’m not hosting @jeopardymasters, Paolo Pasco keeps asking me stuff,” Jennings captioned his Instagram on August 27.

The host was sitting on a plane. As he shared a neutral expression photo of himself, Jennings held up a New Yorker Magazine Crossword puzzle, which said “by Paolo Pasco.”

Pasco, from San Diego, California, has been a freelance crossword constructor since 2015, according to his LinkedIn. He has made crossword puzzles for The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Digitally, the publications his name has been in are The Atlantic (which Drew Goins also writes and edits for), Fireball Crosswords, The Puzzle Society Crossword, The Browser (cryptic), BuzzFeed Puzzles, and special puzzle packs for The New York Times Crossword App.

Although his job as Games Editor at TED, which Pasco has had since August 2025, seems more full-time, he advertised himself as a puzzle writer on the game show.

“He’s everywhere!” the Jeopardy! Masters Instagram page commented.

Former contestant Michelle Tsai said, “ICON!”

“That’s a riot. We adore watching you, Ken. You’re the best. Alex would be so proud,” a third person added.

“Unfair. Time for you to ask him stuff again! Just call him up and quiz him on random facts,” a follower joked.

“That’s so cool,” another said.

“This makes me so happy,” a fan commented.

“Love this!” one last fan said. Many others commented with laughing emojis.

Pasco won seven games in September 2025, taking home $198,717. He then went on to win the Tournament of Champions. That earned him a place in Jeopardy! Masters, which he is currently competing in against Yogesh Raut, Juveria Zaheer, Victoria Groce, Long Nguyen, and Andrew He. Keep watching to see how far Pasco makes it.
