‘Big Brother’s 1,000th Episode Will Deliver Season’s ‘Biggest Twist’

Get ready to expect the unexpected for Big Brother‘s 1,000th episode. The CBS show will be the first primetime show to celebrate the huge milestone. Find out when it airs and what to expect from it.

Big Brother will celebrate its 1,000th episode on Thursday, August 27. While the Houseguests will expect an eviction, fans can expect a lot more in the 90-minute episode.

“We are thrilled and honored to be celebrating this unprecedented milestone,” executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan said in a press release. “It would not have been possible without all of the hardworking and talented people behind the scenes who make up our Big Brother family. This achievement belongs to them, the hundreds of brave houseguests who have walked through the front door, our iconic host, Julie Chen Moonves, and of course, our passionate fans.”

According to the release, the episode will feature surprises from former Houseguests, which were determined by a fan vote for Favorite Showmance, Favorite Winner, and Best Player to Have Never Won. The night will also kick off the biggest twist of the summer. After last season’s White Locust competition that sent Rachel Reilly home, what could possibly be bigger than that?

The 1,000th episode will look back at some of the most memorable moments from the show’s historic 26-year run. As usual, the Blockbuster and live eviction will still happen. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Chen Moonves also told us before the season began that she’d like to try out the wall competition for 1,000 seconds during the episode.
