‘The Price Is Right’: Bobby Bones’ Sidekick Dan ‘Lunchbox’ Chappell Shares Photos From His Audition

Bobby Bones‘ sidekick Dan “Lunchbox” Chappell shared behind-the-scenes photos of his time on The Price Is Right. His episode originally aired on March 31, but the game show reaired it during its summer reruns, causing him to be nostalgic.

“Shout out to The Price Is Right for showing my episode again! Still can’t believe that was REAL LIFE! Dreams come true! @therealpriceisright #win #priceisright #dream #tv #game,” he captioned his Instagram post. The episode reaired on July 30.

Chappell, from Nashville, Tennessee, was the first person to be called down. He ran down the aisle in a tuxedo, jumping on top of audience members, high-fiving and hugging others. He admitted that he “couldn’t hear his name being called,” but once Chappell saw his name on the cue cards, he freaked out.

The Bobby Bones Show cohost then made it to the contestant’s row and won a winery trip to Carter Estate Winery and Resort. He got to come to the stage to play One Wrong Price. All Chappell had to do was figure out which of the three prices listed next to the prizes was wrong, and then he would win all three of them.

The first item was three pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes for $3,040. Then, a Center multi-gym apparatus, along with a three-month digital membership, was at $4,128. The final item was a desktop computer and a webcam, priced at $2,349.

Chappell chose the workout machine at the wrong price, and he was correct since it was actually $1,399. He advanced to the Showcase after spinning a 90.

He bid $32,000 on a five-night trip to New Orleans, a trip to Thailand, and a trip to Greece. He wound up losing the Showcase since he was $1,000 over, even though his opponent was $9,000 away from their price, in which they also bet $32,000.

Now, Lunchbox is reflecting on his time on the game show by sharing behind-the-scenes photos of that day. The first photo was of him at a fake Showcase podium. Then, Chappell shared photos with other hopeful contestants he met that day. He took photos of some of the contestants’ shirts around him and even stood next to a suit on a mannequin after buying his.

Lunchbox then shared photos of the security check-in, getting his name tag, and waiting in line. He even shared a sign for items that were prohibited. There was one video where everyone seemed to look at him after a crew member said something in the microphone, but he played TPIR theme music over it, so it’s not clear what was said.

He showed off that he was number 35 for the day and then shared photos with contestants with signs and birthday crowns, who were waiting to be called down.
