Did ‘Ghosts’ Just Reveal Pete’s Fate in Season 6?
What To Know
- Will Pete survive Ghosts Season 6? One star is giving fans hope for the spirit in a behind-the-scenes tease.
- The ghost disappeared in Season 5’s finale cliffhanger.
Ghosts Season 6 may not officially arrive until the midseason, but answers surrounding Season 5’s cliffhanger ending, which left Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) fate in limbo, have seemingly emerged.
In a post on her Instagram stories, star Sheila Carrasco, who plays Hippie spirit Flower, shared an image that included headshots of the cast with the caption “Back at it, ma doods!” with “Season 6” indicated. The simple enough tease may not raise alarm bells, but it’s the inclusion of Richie Moriarty’s headshot that seems to provide an answer about Pete’s fate, indicating that he likely hasn’t disappeared for good.
As fans of the CBS comedy know, it was revealed that the arrow-skewered ghost had the ability to leave the Woodstone property for a limited time, going as far as overseas, but the longer he’s away, the more he fades and begins to disappear. In a mission to preserve Woodstone’s estate status, instead of it being acquired by a company, Pete accompanied Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and ghost-seeing living Kyle (Ben Feldman) to England, but Pete was merely a head in the backseat of the car as Jay and Kyle approached the gates of Woodstone.

Pete had fully disappeared by the time they reached the boundary, leaving viewers to wonder if he’s gone for good or if he’ll manage to reappear. Carrasco’s post suggests that fans might be able to relax a bit as Moriarty seems to be back at Pete. This isn’t dissimilar to her own extended disappearance when the ghosts worried she’d been “sucked off” after disappearing, but she’d actually fallen down a well. Carrasco’s absence revolved around a real-life pregnancy/maternity leave.
This is just the latest revelation, and thankfully, fans will get answers this fall about Pete, as Halloween and Christmas specials will air ahead of the regular Season 6 premiere. During the show’s San Diego Comic Con panel, showrunner Joe Wiseman teased that the Christmas special will take inspiration from Die Hard.
Let us know what you think about the potential reveal around Pete’s fate, and stay tuned for more on Ghosts Season 6 in the weeks ahead.
