So what do we know about You Deserve to Know? Here are all of the details you deserve to know.

Who stars in You Deserve to Know?

So far, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are the only two announced cast members for the adaptation, as first reported by Deadline. They will star as Gwen and Scott, who are described as neighbors on opposing sides of a murder scandal, in the series if it is given the official greenlight by the streamer.

The series is being adapted by Brian Tanen (Grand Hotel) and hails from Alex Cooper‘s Unwell and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment companies. Angie Blum Thompson will be among the executive producers.

What is You Deserve to Know about?

Based on the 2025 novel of the same name, the series centers on a suburban murder. Specifically, it’s Gwen’s husband who turns up dead after Friday night dinner, and the peace of their cul-de-sac community is disrupted.

“The seemingly idyllic world of the three close-knit mom friends becomes a web of deception, betrayal, and revenge,” the book description reads. “As the police investigate, the veneer of friendship begins to crack, revealing hidden tensions, clandestine affairs, and long-buried jealousies among the three women. With suspicions mounting and the neighborhood gripped by fear, Gwen, Aimee, and Lisa must confront the chilling truth about their husbands, and the sinister undercurrents in their own friendship.”
