Demi Moore is headed back to television after a decades long hiatus. Moore will join the cast of Empire in a recurring role that will take her character into Season 4. The movie star will play a take-charge nurse with a mysterious past, who will become ever more treacherously entangled with the Lyon family in Season 4.

The last time fans saw Moore in a regular role on a television show was back in the 1980s when she starred on General Hospital. Moore's daughter, Rumor Wilis, also has a story arc in the latter half of Empire's third season. No word yet on whether or not the real-life mother-daughter duo will cross paths on screen.
