As Home Town continues to air its milestone 10th season on HGTV, Erin and Ben Napier were honored for their work on and off the small screen.
The couple met while studying at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi before transferring to and graduating from the University of Mississippi. The duo recently returned to the latter school to receive a special honor.
“We are so grateful to the Ole Miss women’s council for all the work they do to mentor and support scholarship kids making their way through college,” Erin shared via Instagram on Thursday, April 2. “Somehow we were chosen to be honored by these giants last weekend and got to show our parents and babies our old campus in the springtime. Thank you again, @olemisswomenscouncil.”
According to the organization’s Instagram bio, the Ole Miss Women’s Council is “a scholarship program at Ole Miss for entering freshmen that provides training and counsel for students destined to be leaders.”

Erin’s post featured several photos of herself and Ben at the organization’s Legacy Dinner, as well as a sweet photo of their daughters — Helen and Mae – on the Ole Miss campus. “So deserving!!!” one fan commented underneath the upload. Another added, “So special! Congratulations.”
Someone else shared, “You’all do such great work, wish you were here in Texas.” A different person posted, “Awww congratulations and infinite Blessings … you and Ben individually and collectively are such a beautiful inspiration.” A separate user commented, “Aww congratulations. Helen and Mae Mae sure are growing up. Happy Easter to y’all. God bless.”
Before the Legacy Dinner, Erin and Ben sat down in an Ole Miss classroom to talk to current students. “The UM alumni and hosts of Home Town and Home Town Takeover spoke with OMWC scholars and other students about their time on campus, lessons learned along the way and life beyond the Grove,” the Ole Miss Office of Development captioned a Monday, March 30, Instagram post featuring pictures of their visit.
“Known for revitalizing small towns, especially their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi, and championing American craftsmanship, the Napiers reminded students that investing in people and communities can create impact far beyond what you ever expect,” the caption continued.

Home Town premiered on HGTV in 2016. The series follows Erin and Ben as they renovate homes in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi. The show has launched several spinoffs, including Home Town Kickstart, Home Town Takeover, Home Town: Ben’s Workshop, and the upcoming Home Town: Inn This Together. Home Town returned for Season 10 back in January.
