HGTV Greenlights New Home Reno Series Starring Trixie Mattel & David Silver of ‘Trixie Motel’
The stars and creators of Trixie Motel are taking their renovation skills home in a new HGTV home renovation series called Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home.
Starring drag superstar Trixie Mattel and her partner and motel co-owner David Silver, Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home will premiere on HGTV in Summer 2024 and is executive produced by Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott.
Mattel and Silver first delighted fans when revamping an old Palm Springs motel into a vibrant, kitschy seven-room motel in Trixie Motel on Discovery+ (streaming now on Max). Pushing the envelope during their first year as motel mavens, the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 3 winner and Silver will now take the leap into home ownership and cohabitation with the purchase of their dream home in Los Angeles in Drag Me Home, but it will need some revamping to make it fit for a queen. The series will consist of four, hour-long episodes.
“Trixie Motel quickly became a fan favorite program tapping into the outrageous vision that Trixie and David brought to life while also showing the sweet dynamic of their real-life relationship,” Loren Ruch, Head of Content, HGTV, said in a statement announcing the new series. “Now we’ll get to check in on the couple’s progress as motel proprietors and watch them navigate the highs and lows of a personal renovation project while moving in together for the first time.”
Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment, with Drew and Jonathan Scott serving as executive producers.
Fans are invited to stay up to date on news about the new series across HGTV’s digital platforms at HGTV.com and via @HGTV on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, Instagram, and TikTok using the hashtag #TrixieMotel. While waiting for the series to premiere, viewers can stream Trixie Motel on Max.
