‘The Resident’ Sneak Peek: Ian’s Struggle Is Becoming More Apparent (VIDEO)

The last episode of The Resident saw Ian cheat the system when the doctors had to take mandatory drug tests — he took pills that would give him a positive result, so now he must retake the test.”Ian’s addiction is just gonna be enormous,” showrunner Andrew Chapman told TV Insider. “Addiction’s a huge problem in our country, but it’s an issue in healthcare. And again, the mission of the show: Make the public aware of those things and explain them in digestible bits. Ian’s that guy. He’s the guy who performs his job well, but he’s an addict.
