‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Sneak Peek: A Surprise Military Homecoming Takes Horrific Turn (VIDEO)

What should have been a happy reunion is now a bloody one that will be memorable for all the wrong reasons in the March 7 episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

In “The Bird,” the members of the 126 rush into action when a surprise military homecoming erupts into chaos, and  spring into action when a surprise military homecoming erupts into chaos, and TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek showing just what that means. “I just ran over my husband. Please send help!” a woman exclaims on the 9-1-1 call. “He’s stuck under my car!”

When the 126 arrives on scene, Captain Tommy Vega (Gina Torres) checks on the wife while she sends T.K. Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) to assess the husband. “It hurts,” the man tells him, mostly in his leg — and he realizes that what’s dripping is not motor oil, but his blood (and a lot of it). “All I wanted to do was meet my daughter,” the staff sergeant says.

“He made it through three tours without a scratch,” his wife tells Tommy. “And then I run him over?” Watch the clip above to find out just how bad it is as T.K. updates Tommy.

Elsewhere in “The Bird,” Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) is left responsible for taking care of a talkative pet. Plus, Paul Strickland (Brian Michael Smith) faces a medical emergency.

As you’ll recall, the season began with the firefighters facing an ice storm, and during a rescue, Paul was trapped. It seems this could be the episode showrunner Tim Minear was teasing after Episode 2, when he told TV Insider, “This will affect Paul in ways that will not be immediately noticeable, but later on down the line in a few episodes, we will discover that that the [medical] aftereffects are maybe more serious than he had first anticipated.”
