‘P-Valley’: Starz Announces Casting & Goes Behind the Scenes of Season 2 (VIDEO)
During Starz‘s Winter TCA 2022 presentation, the network unveiled an update about the forthcoming second season of P-Valley, sharing casting news and a behind-the-scenes tour from the set.
Joining showrunner and creator Katori Hall‘s series P-Valley for Season 2 are Psalms Salazar (Girl Lost: A Hollywood Thriller) and Gail Bean (Snowfall), seen above. The announcement was shared alongside the set video where the rest of the cast was seen hard at work prepping for Season 2 at The Pynk.
Led by star Nicco Annan, the tour features commentary from fellow returning cast members Elarica Johnson, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Harriet D. Foy, and Morocco Omari. Plus, Hall gives an overview of what fans can anticipate from the long-awaited season following the show’s 2020 debut.
Salazar has been cast as series regular Whisper, an enigmatic free spirit who has a spooky streak and speaks in riddles and eerie truths. She’s blessed with a direct line to the universe and sight beyond this earthly realm. Described as the air to Roulette’s fire, Whisper becomes a tornado when she hits the pole.
Meanwhile, Bean will appear in the recurring role of Roulette, a feisty wild child who lives up to her name. At The Pynk, she’s taking big risks and breaking all of Uncle Clifford’s rules. Unpredictable like fire, she’s a sight to behold as she turns everything upside down. Other returning stars include Parker Sawyers, Dan J. Johnson, Tyler Lepley, and Skyler Joy.
P-Valley is based on Hall’s play Pussy Valley and follows the characters attached to The Pynk, a strip club located in the Mississippi Delta. Don’t miss the first look at Season 2, catch the sneak peek, below and stay tuned for more details as progress on the latest chapter continues.
