9 Most Ridiculous Cooking Competitions Ever
Last year, Marcel Vigneron went from Top Chef’s second-season second-place finalist to 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing’s first-season first-place winner. And now 24 in 24 is back for another round on Sunday, April 27, at 8/7c on Food Network.
Hosted by Michael Symon and Esther Choi, 24 in 24 features 24 chefs undergoing 24 culinary challenges over the course of 24 straight hours, and yes, that’s a wild concept. For our money, though, it’s not as wild as the concepts below. Check out our picks for TV’s most ridiculous cooking competitions ever — with premises that make the over-the-top theatrics of Iron Chef seem tame in comparison.

I love Crime Scene Kitchen! Joel McHale is pretty dang funny. It's a lot of fun and the bakers are all good at their craft. Not GBBO levels, but still fun.
Worst Cooks in America scrapes the bottom of the barrel and seems to place a very low bar on vetting for mental problems. Then it makes fun of them. Not cool.
