‘You’re Killing Me’ First Look: Brooke Shields Is on the Case — and in Danger! (PHOTOS)
Acorn TV is adding to its (long) list of mysteries and crime dramas this spring.
Brooke Shields‘ new series, You’re Killing Me, is coming to Acorn TV this spring, and TV Insider has an exclusive first look at the photos and trailer.
The six-episode murder mystery series, created by Robin Bernheim Burger, stars Shields (also an executive producer), Amalia Williamson, and Tom Cavanagh. It follows Shields’ character, bestselling novelist Allie, and her unlikely alliance with aspiring writer and podcast Andi (Williamson) after the murder of a close friend. Cavanagh plays the local police’s new lead detective, Jack, who’s a former city slicker trying to acclimate to the quirks of small-town life.
The trailer, which you can watch above, shows that Allie is “legendary,” and while she wouldn’t use that word, others would — and also call her “famous,” “award-winning,” “New York Times best-selling author,” “brilliant,” and “kind.” Allie says she solves mysteries for a living, so “I think I’m good to go.” Watch the full video to see how Andi brings her in to the investigation as well as the connection to Allie’s novels and how the author ends up in danger.
You’re Killing Me is a co-production between Topsail Entertainment and Shaftesbury. Bernheim and Shields executive produce alongside James Genn (who also directs Episodes 1 and 2), Michael Volpe for Topsail, and Christina Jennings and Scott Garvie for Shaftesbury. Scott Smith directs Episodes 3 and 4 and Paul Fox directs Episodes 5 and 6.
