Lana Condor

The protagonist of the film, Condor plays Lara Jean, a girl who’s too afraid to face her feelings. Condor’s lead role is no surprise, as her filmography continues to grow. The actress appeared in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse as well as the film Patriots Day. Condor’s newest TV gig will be on Syfy’s Deadly Class in 2019.

Netflix’s latest breakout comes in the form of a rom-com — To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, based on the book by Jenny Han.

Teenager Lara Jean’s (Lana Condor) life suddenly goes awry when five love letters she wrote in secret are mailed to those five unsuspecting recipients. As she faces the fallout — and benefits — of this, viewers are treated to a surprisingly sweet story.

Now officially an overnight hit, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before combines the charm of its John Hughes inspirations — especially Sixteen Candles — with an appealing, up-and-coming cast. In fact, the internet is already talking sequel!
