Fans of NBC’s This Is Us have been waiting for the long-promised Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) episode, and it’s finally here!
On Tuesday, February 19, dive into Beth’s past with “Our Little Island Girl,” and meet a whole new branch of the family. Newly released photos for the episode give a sneak peek at guest stars Phylicia Rashad, Carl Lumbly and Goran Visnjic in-character.
Rashad will play Beth’s mother Carol, who was mentioned at the end of the prior episode as Beth rushed to be by her side after she injured her hip. Lumbly is portraying Beth’s father Abe, who later died of cancer, as fans will remember from previous mentions.
Meanwhile, the new images with Visnjic reveal more about his vague teacher character. It’s clear he’ll be portraying Beth’s ballet instructor and based on the episode’s teaser, her time as a dancer could lead to something more — perhaps her own studio in the future? After all, in the midseason finale flash-forward, we saw her teaching at a studio.
