Amazon has announced the actors joining Rosamund Pike in its adaptation of The Wheel of Time.
Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Barney Harris, Zoë Robins, and Josha Stradowski have been cast as series regulars in the series based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy novels.

The series is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists, but only certain women are allowed to access it. It follows Moiraine (Pike), a member of the Aes Sedai, an incredibly powerful all-female organization, as she arrives in Two Rivers. From the small town, she sets out on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, and according to prophecy, one of them will either save or destroy humanity as the Dragon Reborn.
The Wheel of Time was adapted for television by showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins. Joining him as executive producers are Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of Red Eagle Entertainment, Ted Field and Mike Weber of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz. Briesewitz will direct the first two episodes. Pike is also a producer, and Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson are serving as consulting producers. The series is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
