‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ Teaser: Rick & Michonne Fight to Reunite (VIDEO)
“I tried to get away,” Rick (Andrew Lincoln) stresses in the new The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live trailer.
This look at the upcoming series in the Walking Dead Universe starring Lincoln and Danai Gurira (reprising her role as Michonne) was released at AMC‘s panel at New York Comic Con (ahead of the screening of the Daryl Dixon Season 1 finale). Rick and Michonne’s epic love story will premiere in February 2024.
The teaser, which you can watch above, shows both Rick and Michonne, separately, fighting walkers. “Please know I tried,” Rick says. “I tried, but I failed. Just know I love you.”
It was also announced that Pollyanna McIntosh will return as Jadis, while joining the previously announced Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl are Terry O’Quinn as Beale and Matt Jeffries as Nat.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live “presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were,” according to AMC. “Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”
Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.
