‘The Mandalorian’: Here Are the Best Behind the Scenes Photos & Videos From Season 3
The long-awaited premiere of The Mandalorian Season 3 has come and gone, and with only a couple of episodes left until we’re left waiting for more, the Pedro Pascal-led series hasn’t disappointed with its bevy of cameos and behind-the-scenes footage.
Including the return of some fan-favorite directors like Rick Fukuyama and Dallas Bryce Howard, Lizzo, Jack Black, and Christopher Lloyd have enjoyed guest appearances alongside returning co-star Katee Sackhoff.
To be fair, most of the season’s highlighted cameos and behind-the-scenes footage came in a single episode directed by Howard and written by creator Jon Favreau. In the most recent chapter titled “Guns For Hire,” Din Djarin (Pascal) and Grogu are joined by Bo-Katan (Sackhoff) as they venture to Plazir-15. This planet is governed by a democratically elected Duchess (played by Lizzo) and her partner, Captain Bombardier. Notably, the episode also features beloved Back to the Future actor Lloyd in the role of Commissioner Helgait.
Lizzo, who has a deep connection with Star Wars, as many fans do, took to Twitter and Instagram to share some behind the scenes videos and imagery.

“When I was a young girl my dad introduced me to Star Wars like a rite of passage,” Lizzo said in her social media posts. “The trilogy’s [sic] are his favorite movies and quickly became mine. When Jon favreau [sic] called me and offered the role of The Dutchess I cried all day wishing my dad was still with us cus [sic] he’d be so proud. Star Wars was a dream I never thought was possible— but thanks to Jon, Bryce, and everyone in the galaxy I am now part of the ever-expanding saga of the stars.” She concluded by saying, “I am in honorable company and forever grateful. This is The Way…. and May the Force be with you.”
