The Boys finally brought Supernatural‘s trio of Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins back to our screens as Season 5 hosted an epic reunion featuring a few other famous faces in the episode, “One-Shots.” Warning: Spoilers for The Boys Season 5 Episode 5 ahead!

So, what brought them back together onscreen? In the episode, Soldier Boy (Ackles) accompanies Homelander (Antony Starr) on a mission to find V-1, in the supe’s pursuit to gain immortality and immunity from Butcher’s (Karl Urban) virus. The search brings them to Hollywood, where they drop in on Mr. Marathon’s (Padalecki) house. The former member of The Seven, who was replaced by A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), was hosting a poker game with Malchemical (Collins), and some other big wigs, including Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, Will Forte, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Mr. Marathon tells Homelander and Soldier Boy that Bombsight (Mason Dye) possesses the injectable and offers to call him. Tension builds all around after Homelander heard the actors making fun of him and acknowledging the danger of Homelander’s rise to power. When Homelander decides that Mr. Marathon is lying about Bombsight, he goes to leave and is knocked out by Malchemical, who breathes his noxious gases in the supe’s face.

While Homelander is unconscious, Malchemical and Mr. Marathon try convincing Soldier Boy to take Homelander’s powers away so they can end him once and for all. The plea falls on deaf ears though as Soldier Boy declares, “He is a f**king asexual weirdo, but as much as it pains me to say this, he’s my f**king asexual weirdo. Nobody f**ks my son, but me.”

He then goes on to choke Malchemical, breaking his neck and killing him in the process. Things get much bloodier for Mr. Marathon, who is goaded into running after Soldier Boy, only to end up rolling right through his famous pals one by one, exploding them like water balloons filled with blood. The run around the house even exposes an additional cameo as Craig Robinson briefly makes an appearance.

Mr. Marathon runs after Soldier Boy into his trophy room, only to be slipped up by baby oil on the floor. That’s when Soldier Boy attacks him, breaking his legs and seeking answers about Bombsight’s whereabouts. Once he’s gotten all of the information he can get, Homelander, now awake, stomps on Mr. Marathon’s head, in one of the more gruesome moments this season.

Below, we’re breaking down the most bonkers moments and fun easter eggs revealed in the Supernatural reunion on The Boys. Scroll down for a closer look and let us know which moment had you laughing out loud in the comments section.

Jared & Jensen Do Cocaine Together

There were plenty of shocking moments throughout the episode, including Mr. Marathon’s introductory line to Soldier Boy being, “Big fan, sir. I actually popped my cherry in your underoos.” But the sight of seeing Ackles and Padalecki do cocaine, while a table of comedy A-listers and Homelander sits in the background has to be a highlight. Could you have ever imagined? Not us!

Seth Rogen & Pals Crash the Reunion

The shock of learning that the Supernatural reunion wasn’t just going to feature the trio everyone was tuning in to see, but also a lineup of Rogen and some of his best comedy pals was an exciting surprise. But we can’t help but also be reminded of Rogen’s 2013 film This Is The End, which featured a slew of popular comedians from the time, including himself, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Craig Robinson. They ragged on fellow performers like Michael Cera and Bill Hader.

Misha Collins' Connection to Malchemical's Gas Power

While Mr. Marathon and Malchemical’s powers are explained onscreen, the inspiration behind them seems to be a little more personal for both Padalecki and Collins. Fans may know that Padalecki has run in marathons, sharing his affinity for the sport of running. But Collins’ onscreen power likely hails from a more hilarious origin story as he’s previously shared he once released a deadly fart on an airplane that caused a man to pass out, which sounds very close to what he does to Homelander…

Jared Padalecki's Movie Posters

Movie posters line Mr. Marathon’s walls, which we see throughout the scene. His roles were seen as lesser-than by Homelander who makes the comment, “These were made where washed up supes go to die, Sony Pictures TV.” The inside joke is alluding to the company that actually makes the series The Boys. Still, the posters are a fun little easter egg to glance at, especially when there were references to the monsters the Winchesters fought (Mr. Marathon: Vampire Hunter and Ghost Runner 2: Supernatural Speedster).

Holy Baby Oil

While the name of Mr. Marathon’s stash of baby oil, Puff Baby, is no doubt an allusion to P. Diddy’s sex trafficking case, it’s also an easter egg for Supernatural fans. It’s been a longstanding fact that the holy water onscreen in Supernatural is a mix of water and lube.

Malchemical's Death

Malchemical’s death was certainly a shocker, albeit brief. Sure, it was clear that the party wasn’t going to make it out of the meet-up with Homelander and Soldier Boy alive, but seeing Ackles choke Collins to the point of breaking his neck was jaw-dropping in its suddenness.

Mr. Marathon's Head Stomp

Perhaps the biggest shock though, was Mr. Marathon’s demise because there was a brief moment you thought he might make it out alive. Homelander made sure that wasn’t the case, causing a jumpscare when he stomped on Mr. Marathon’s head, crushing him to death. The bloody mess isn’t a sight that will fade from our minds anytime soon.
