Towards the end of her run as the studious Spencer, Bellisario did double duty as the director of an episode in the final season. Since then, she’s continued directing—most recently with an episode of Famous in Love. Her acting career is strong, as well: She’s set to star in the 2018 films Where’d You Go Bernadette and Clara.
Shay Mitchell (Emily Fields)
With multiple upcoming projects in the works, Mitchell has kept busy since her time as loyal Emily ended. She is set to hit the big screen as the lead in horror film Cadaver in late 2018. She’ll also appear in Showtime’s psychological thriller You, and most recently snagged a starring role in the ABC series The Heiresses.
Annette Brown/The CW
Lucy Hale (Aria Montgomery)
After leaving adventurous Aria behind, Hale moved on to a new network: The CW. She’s starring as Stella Abbot in The CW’s comedy-drama Life Sentence, premiering March 7. She’ll also play the leads in supernatural horror flick Truth Or Dare, in theaters Friday, April 13, as well as dramedy Dude.
Ashley Benson (Hannah Marin)
Benson has kept a low profile in the entertainment world since her days on PLL ended. Does this mean we could see her returning for the PLL spinoff? Any Hannah fan would be happy to have her sassy attitude back on their screens.
Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis)
After seven years as the dead, then not-dead, queen bee Alison, Pieterse tried out the world of reality TV with an unfortunately short stint on Dancing with the Stars Season 25. In addition to her upcoming drama movie The Honor List, Pieterse will return as Ali in the PLL spinoff, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.

Janel Parrish (Mona Vanderwaal)
Just like Pieterse, Parrish will be back as the conniving Mona in the PLL spinoff, The Perfectionists. After all, many considered her to be the best character in the show. Additionally, she has a number of movies in the works, including teen romance To All The Boys I’ve Ever Loved and thriller Hell Is Where The Home Is.
Ian Harding (Ezra Fitz)
With his days as heartthrob teacher Ezra Fitz behind him, Harding will be moving to the big screen as Nicholas Frohm in the upcoming comedy thriller Office Uprising.
Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers)
Formally Rosewood’s “bad boy” Caleb, Blackburn has also moved on to the big screen, appearing in the 2017 movie musical Hello Again. He looks to be continuing in films, starring in the 2018 drama Asbury Park.
Keegan Allen (Toby Cavanaugh)
Since wrapping his role as boy next door Toby, Allen has appeared in two episodes in TNT’s Major Crimes. He’ll next be seen in the biographical film Bukowski, directed by James Franco, and he’s started a podcast about his life, Foreverland. In April 2018, he’s releasing another photography book, something he considers to be his passion in life.
It’s been almost a year since Hannah, Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Alison concluded their seven-season battle with A.
After the besties emerged victorious, Pretty Little Liars closed the book on 160 episodes of mystery, drama, and romance. Now, one year later, the cast of the Freeform hit has moved out of Rosewood and on to new opportunities.
