April and Ethan (Chicago Med)

Though things aren’t the greatest they’ve ever been between them — April is keeping a kiss she shared with Marcel secret — it’s looking up. When Ethan returned from six weeks with the Navy, he proposed. After she told him she may not be able to have kids and he told her they’d figure it out together, she said yes. Will IVF work?
April and Marcel (Chicago Med)
Status: (Past) Flirtation
While Marcel seems to have moved on from his interest in her following their kiss, that is still hanging over their heads — especially since Ethan doesn’t know.
Will and Natalie (Chicago Med)
Status: Exes
The good news is Natalie kicked Phillip out of her life after finding out that he lied about ever proposing. Plus, she finally remembered what happened the night of the accident. The bad news is she and Will aren’t in a much better place, as he’s told her they’re not good for one another.
Will and Hannah (Chicago Med)
Status: Flirtation
Will was secretly working at a safe injection site when Hannah came in. When he learned she was a doctor at Med, however, he refused to keep her addiction a secret. In turn, she threatened to expose him. After he quit working at the safe injection site, he offered to help her get clean. Upon realizing he cared, she agreed to turn herself in — but first invited him to spend the night at her place.
Marcel and Manning (Chicago Med)
Status: Flirtation
The two have been working closely lately, even sharing a moment at the end of a rough day. (And any TV viewer knows it only takes one moment to spark a relationship.)
Maggie and Ben (Chicago Med)
Status: Borderline Tragic
This has been a tough season for Maggie as she learned she has cancer, but there was a bright spot in the darkness: Ben. And while it seemed to take a turn when they learned he had measles, he has since learned he’s in remission.
Sharon and Bert (Chicago Med)
Status: Exes
CeCe was the one to play matchmaker, and while they’re only at the “getting drinks” stage, they may be finding their way back to one another.
Dr. Charles and CeCe (Chicago Med)
Status: Tragic
They found their way back to each other and even got married in last season’s finale, but this didn’t have a happy ending, and now we’re seeing him deal with losing her to cancer.
Severide and Kidd (Chicago Fire)
Status: Living together
These two are as solid as it gets in the One Chicago universe. (Severide quickly brushed aside Seager’s interest.) Plus, Kidd recently moved in with him.
Casey and Dawson (Chicago Fire)
Status: Exes
Dawson returned in the fall finale, and she and Casey spent the night together. They left things in a much better place than when she initially left, and there is the possibility for a reunion in the future.
Casey and Brett (Chicago Fire)
Status: Will they/won’t they
There was certainly a flirtation last season, but then Brett got engaged (and moved away). However, they’ve been growing closer as of late, and Casey was the one she turned to when her birth mother reached out.
Boden and Donna (Chicago Fire)
Status: Married
These two are as solid as it gets in the One Chicago universe.
Cruz and Chloe (Chicago Fire)
Status: Engaged
She did briefly break up with him after witnessing Otis’ girlfriend go through losing him. But after a conversation with Brett, she admitted her fears and asked him to propose like he’d been planning to.
Mouch and Trudy (Chicago Fire/P.D.)
Status: Married
These two are as solid as it gets in the One Chicago universe.
Halstead and Upton (Chicago P.D.)
Status: Will they/won’t they
There is at least the possibility that these two can get together, but neither has had much luck dating in Intelligence. And Halstead’s recent injury does have Upton questioning her feelings for him.
Atwater and Rojas (Chicago P.D.)
Status: Will they/won’t they
It’s about time Atwater gets a love interest, and there were certainly vibes between the two when they met. But now that Rojas is part of the unit, things seem up in the air.
Burgess and Ruzek (Chicago P.D.)
Status: Exes
They hooked up during the big crossover, and soon after, Burgess learned she was pregnant. Though Ruzek proposed, she turned him down and the two instead decided to co-parent. But just as he was about to move in with her, she lost the baby after a brutal fight to save a girl’s life.
The heroes of the One Chicago shows don’t just have saving people in common; they also all have very complicated love lives.
And while there are a few steady couples in Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med, for the most part, their relationships are much more dramatic than the saves they manage to pull off each week.
