    What about Sam Heughan of Outlander? He was in A Princess for Christmas along with Roger Moore playing his father. Sam has one of the biggest fan bases ever!

    DESPITE what the "NEIGH-SAYERS" cry, I love EVERY HALLMARK movie and especially the CHRISTMAS ones. In North Carolina right now we are having 95-100 degree temperatures with dangerous 102-110 HEAT INDEXES around 1-3 pm! Nothing cools me off more than to take a mid-afternoon break inside and watch a snowy HOLIDAY movie. I have seen some of them 5 times, but always discover something I missed before. I love the ensemble casts, with my favorite lead actors & actresses. They are not supposed to be EMMY WINNING productions, just an escape from the pressures of COVID-19, the pressures of the day & this OPPRESSIVE HEAT! Ryan Paevey, Luke MacFarlane, Brant Daugherty, Jonathan Bennett, Lacey Chabert, Danica McKellar, Katrina Law, Candace Cameron Bure & many others take me away to a colorful wintry cool havens for 2 hours. I agree they don't need to be on 12 months a year, because I find myself hooked on them all month in July (I am disabled). I'm also excited the Seasonal movies are starting in October this year. For THE HALLMARK CHANNEL to offer as many original movies per year as they do is amazing. Think how many people are given jobs in that INDUSTRY and how many millions of people are brought joy each day. I KNOW I am one of them, and I don't care WHO KNOWS IT!

    These holiday movies were a lot better years ago, before there were so many of them. The McDonalds treatment doesn't do the genre any favors.

      People happen to LIKE these movies, Countdown to Christmas gets over 1 million total views every year!!

      I've seen "A Season for Miracles" (1999) a dozen times and I'd still watch it again over all but 4-5 of Hallmark's new Xmas movies each year. Last year there were nineteen, I think. This year, the channel is running thirty. There really are just so many story lines and Hallmark has some really strict rules about what can and can't be shown. Character development isn't a priority because you have to get in the mandatory tree decorating, snowball battle, dress-up party, and kiss that's interrupted just before the couple's lips touch.

      A Hallmark Presentation film used to mean something. Some of the best television movies ever made were produced by Hallmark. This is the beancounters' Christmas orgasm.

      Normally, I wouldn't be caught dead watching Lifetime's bevy of "women in danger" movies. But it does Xmas movies, too, and they often are much better than Hallmark's schmaltzy staple. Sadly, I just read they've shot 25!!! for just this season. I have to believe that the quality of their films will suffer, just as Hallmark's has.

      That's what I think too. When there were fewer of these movies, the quality was better, and the ideas more original. Now they're all more or less versions of the same thing.
