‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ Trailer: See Andrew Lincoln, F. Murray Abraham & More in Guillermo del Toro’s Anthology (PHOTOS)
“Picture your mind as a cabinet, where you lock up your darkest thoughts and deepest fears. What would happen if you opened that cabinet for the world to see? We are about to find out,” Guillermo del Toro promises in the trailer for his new Netflix anthology series. “Welcome to my Cabinet of Curiosities.”
At one point in the video, which offers a look at all the stories, Glynn Turman’s character says, “this is one of those nightmares specials, the kind you never get to the bottom of.” Well, from what we can see — and you can, above — that certainly is the case here.
Netflix also released new photos and key art for the series, premiering on Tuesday, October 25 with a special four-day, double episode Netflix & Chills Halloween event. Two episodes will drop daily through Friday, October 28. The images, which you can see below, offer a look at each of the tales, from macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, curated by del Toro (who is creator, executive producer, co-showrunner, and host) to challenge the traditional notions of horror. Two are originals by him. J. Miles Dale co-showruns the series with him. Joining del Toro and Dale as executive producers is Gary Ungar. Regina Corrado serves as co-executive producer.
