‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Teddy & Owen Are All Smiles Before Tragedy Strikes (PHOTOS)
The wait is over, Grey’s Anatomy fans. After weeks of temporary hiatus, the long-lived medical drama is back this week, and now ABC has revealed the first batch of photos from the action ahead in Season 22’s penultimate episode, “Through the Fire.”
From the looks of them, Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) will take center stage in the segment, which is perhaps unsurprising since the two are soon heading for the exit, in one way or another, in the season finale.
The episode’s description tells us, “A Station 19 firefighter lands in the ER for severe burn treatment, and the team treats an elderly patient impaled by an art structure. A Fox Foundation innovation competition reunites Meredith [Ellen Pompeo] and Bailey [Chandra Wilson].”
The video preview for the episode (and the finale) also gave some major clues about what might be leading Teddy and Owen to what creator Shonda Rhimes has described as a “happy ending.” In particular, it looks like next week’s episode, “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” will see Owen in grave peril as he is unconscious in a car that is quickly filling up with water. (The description for that episode reads, “After a catastrophic bridge collapse sends dozens of victims to Grey Sloan, the hospital activates its full disaster response as they race to treat a surge of critically injured patients, including one of their own.”)
