EPIX may have just launched its Alfred-centric series Pennyworth, but the network is setting its sights on yet another tantalizing title — Godfather of Harlem.

The series, which is written and executive produced by Narcos' Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein, features an all-star cast including Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, Giancarlo Esposito and Vincent D'Onofrio. Arriving this fall, the 10-episode drama centers on the story of the infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker) who in the early '60s returned to Harlem after a 10-year prison stint only to find his neighborhood out of order.

In order to reclaim what's his, Bumpy will have to battle the now-ruling Italian mob made up of the Genovese crime family. During this time, Bumpy forges a bond with preacher Malcolm X. The show brings together the two elements of the criminal world and civil rights movement.
