‘Furious’: 10 Burning Questions We Need Answered in Season 2
Hulu’s Furious lived up to its name in its final hour, delivering a shocking finale that answered some of the season’s biggest mysteries while leaving plenty of others hanging. Warning: Spoilers ahead for Season 1 of Furious.
By the time the dust settled, the truth about Isabel’s death had finally come to light; FBI Agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) and serial killer Catherine Grace’s (Lola Petticrew) connection had reached a major turning point, and several characters were left facing the consequences. But for everything the finale revealed, it also opened the door to a whole new set of burning questions.
Thankfully, we won’t be left hanging forever. Hulu has officially renewed Furious for a second season, which means we may actually get some answers. From what comes next for Alice and Catherine due to the fallout from the Easton case to all the relationships left in limbo, these are the biggest questions we need Season 2 to answer.
Furious, Season 1, Now Streaming, Hulu
1. What is Alice going to do with the list?
At the end of the series, Alice has a list of all the horrible people who downloaded the video of her being abused. The finale ends with Alice finding out the names of the predators who downloaded her abuse video, but we don’t know whether she intends to investigate them, arrest them, expose them — or perhaps even follow Catherine’s example.
2. Is Alice becoming like Catherine?
Alice secretly kills Jay Easton (Peter McRobbie) after he confesses to being a fan of the video of her being abused. In a moment of fury, she steps on his air tube and smothers him, killing a man who has spent his life abusing others and hiding behind power and wealth. Catherine clearly recognizes something in Alice, and lets her know that she knows her little secret about Easton by asking in the finale if she “liked the way it felt.” The ending seems designed to blur the line between FBI agent and vigilante.
3. Will anyone discover Alice killed Jay Easton?
Officially, Jay dies of respiratory failure, but in actuality, he was killed by Alice, who blocked his breathing tube and suffocated him. Catherine hints that she suspects, but ill anyone find out Alice’s dark secret?
4. What will happen to Ed George?
Nora (Quincy Tyler Bernstine) wanted the hard drive specifically because she needs evidence to take Ed (Danny McCarthy) down, and Alice ultimately gives it to her. But Ed has yet to be punished for his loyalty to the Easton family as their “cleaner” for so many years. Getting the hard drive gives Nora something to work with, but Ed has already demonstrated that he knows how to manipulate investigations and protect himself. Will Nora ever get her revenge on Ed?
5. What will happen to Marshall?
After Marshall Connelly (Jake Lacy) let his vices take over, he attacked Alice outside a women’s shelter, only to be shot by Catherine. When we last saw him, the NYPD officer was facing possible paralysis as he recovered in the hospital, with his mother still blaming Alice for all his woes. What will happen after he heals? Will he recover? And will he choose to pursue Alice again?
6. How big was the conspiracy surrounding Jay Easton?
Ed was the Easton family “cleaner,” and Jay Easton’s lawyer, Hal (Campbell Scott), had years of files/photos/videos on the man; Emma (Hope Davis) helped facilitate his access to girls, and Jay Easton’s material apparently circulated to other people. But we don’t know exactly how many people were involved, and how many people are being protected or were destroyed.
7. What will happen to Catherine?
She’s in jail, Isabel’s body has finally been found, and she knows that she was the one who killed Isabel. But we don’t know what kind of sentence she’s facing, if she can handle the recovered memory of mercy-killing her beloved Isabel, or, more importantly, whether her relationship with Alice will continue.
8. What will happen with Alice and Danny's relationship?
At the end of the series, Alice and Danny decide to be together, as they recover from the events of the past at the beach house, where they explore their new relationship together. We love this for them, but there are still lingering issues that might impede their happiness. Danny (Scoot McNairy) decides to quit the NYPD, and Alice has returned to the FBI while hiding the fact that she murdered Jay. With Danny in the dark about that, and his future uncertain, we are not sure where they will go, but we hope it is with each other.
9. What will happen to Alden?
Of everyone involved, Alden Drummings (Steve Way) was an innocent, for the most part. He simply loved “Vanessa” and wanted to make a life with her. As a caregiver, Catherine was … unconventional, but was deeply loved by Alden, whom she treated like a prince despite using his house as a base of operations. With Catherine now in jail, what will happen to Alden? It was revealed in the finale that they might have gotten married, but Alden must now live without his caregiver and a best friend.
10. What will happen to Emma Easton?
We learn it was Emma’s DNA that was under Isabel’s (Larissa Campos) fingernails and that she played a direct role in covering up what happened. Furthermore, she spent years covering for her pedophile father and doing his bidding. Now that she is all alone and the only heir to the Easton fortune, what will happen to her?

So happy these questions were posed. I was asking myself what was gonna happen with Emma Easton as she was clearly an accomplice & it never showed her being arrested. Plus, what was the rock salt all about!?
I loved this series & loved Emme Rossum in the main role. She was great in Shameless & equally as great in Furious!
So happy there will be a season 2 to answer some of the key questions.
