Alexis competed on Season 27 with her partner Alan and it was clear the two had chemistry right from the get go. They admitted their feelings for one another while on the show — and even shared a kiss on camera — but they unfortunately called it quits on their relationship shortly after the season ended.
Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff
Mario was partnered with Karina for Season 3 back in 2006 and their chemistry with one another was obvious right away. However, the couple sadly split just two years after making their relationship official.
Nikki Bella & Artem Chigvintsev
Though Nikki and Artem didn’t start dating while they competed on Season 25 of DWTS together (she was still engaged to John Cena, after all) they did start dating earlier this year. In fact, Nikki and Artem started their relationship after the Total Bellas star officially ended her engagement and they are still going strong today!
Robert Herjavec & Kym Johnson
Robert and Kym were partners on Season 20 of DWTS, which is where they met and fell in love. The couple announced their engagement on February 27, 2016 and they tied the knot on July 31, 2016. They also welcomed twins, son Hudson and daughter Haven, in April 2018. They are still the only DWTS partnership to ever get married!
Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas
Mark wound up dating his first ever partner, Sabrina Bryan, back in 2007. The couple stayed together after their season wrapped, but unfortunately they broke up a few months later because they were both busy with work.
Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy
The Pretty Little Liars star and Val had an intense connection during Season 19, sparking relationship rumors. They were even spotted holding hands in New York, but the romance fizzled once the season wrapped that fall.
Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough
Elizabeth and Hough started dating after they were partnered together on Season 6 of DWTS. Despite their 12-year age difference (Derek was 22 at the time, Shannon was 34), the pair stayed together for over a year before announcing their split on Twitter.
Every celebrity who joins Dancing With the Stars is expected to dance well, of course, but they’re also expected to have great chemistry with their professional partner.
