‘Coldwater’ Trailer: Andrew Lincoln Shouldn’t Trust His Neighbors in Twisty New Series (VIDEO)

Think twice before you trust your neighbors. Such seems to be the lesson of Paramount+’s new twisty thriller, Coldwater, starring Andrew Lincoln, and coming in early January.

The new series follows Lincoln’s character as he moves his family to rural Scotland following a violent incident in London, and once there, he begins to wonder about his new neighbor following some happenings around the town. On Thursday, December 18, Paramount+ announced the premiere date and released photos and a trailer offering a look Lincoln and the rest of the cast that has us questioning everything about what’s going on.

Coldwater will premiere on Friday, January 9, 2026, on Paramount+.

Coldwater‘s six episodes will be released weekly. The schedule is as follows, leading up to the finale on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Coldwater was created and written by David Ireland. He also executive produces with Jane Featherstone, Chris Fry, Lydia Hampson, Alice Tyler, and Andrew Lincoln. The series is produced by Brian Coffey. It is directed by Lee Haven-Jones (Episodes 101-103) and Andrew Cumming (Episodes 104-106).

What is Coldwater about?

According to the official description, “Stay-at-home dad John moves his family up from London to the rural Scottish town of Coldwater after his failure to intervene in a violent confrontation at a playground brings his identity crisis to a head. On arrival, John is quickly befriended by next-door neighbor Tommy, a charming, confident pillar of the community. But it’s only after a series of unsettling incidents start to occur that John starts to wonder who the real Tommy actually is.”

Is there a Coldwater trailer?

Yes! It shows John and Fiona moving to the town and getting to know their neighbors, Rebecca and Tommy, who, from the start, give us reason to pause.

“Big smiles, we’re a normal family and we’re delighted to see them,” Rebecca says as the other couple walks up to the house for dinner.

“He makes my skin crawl,” Fiona says of Tommy — and it looks like she’s right to be suspicious.
