Netflix’s space-set sci-fi series Away continues to grow as five new stars are added to the roster.
The newcomers join previously-announced stars Hilary Swank and Josh Charles. Away tells the story of Emma Green, an American astronaut sent on a mission towards the stars. Leaving her husband and daughter behind, Emma will embark on a journey like no other as she commands an international space crew on a treacherous adventure.
Away will explore themes of hope, humanity and how people need each other to soar to great heights. The show is loosely based on journalist Chris Jones’ 2014 article for Esquire, which told the story of astronaut Scott Kelly’s mission to space.
