Tuesday TV Ratings: ‘The Resident’ Hits Season High on Super Tuesday

The Resident Season 3 Emily VanCamp Matt Czuchry

Super Tuesday’s primary coverage wiped clean ABC, CBS and NBC’s regular primetime programming for the night but that was good news for Fox’s The Resident! The medical drama managed to win the night in the broadcast standings and also grab its highest-viewed episode of the current third season.

As for Fox’s soapy drama, Empire, it returned to air the remaining episodes in its sixth and final season and it performed strongly with the 18-49 demo but fell from The Resident’s 0.8 rating and lost over 2 million viewers from that lead-in with total viewers.

Also, in the Super Tuesday coverage, NBC had an edge of ABC and CBS with a 0.6 rating in 18-49 and 2.81 million total viewers.
