‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Finds its New Vixen
The Legends have found a new recruit. Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who was a series regular on Of Kings and Prophets, played Eva Sinclair on The Originals and had a small role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is joining the cast of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as the new Vixen, a popular character from DC Comics lore. This version is the grandmother of the Vixen who headlines her own CW Seed animated series and made a live-action appearance on Arrow last season (both played by Megalyn Echikunwoke). Legends’ time-traveling premise will likely help explain how a “grandmother” is being portrayed by an actress in her twenties!

Richardson-Sellers’ character—a series regular in Season 2—is Amaya Jiwe, described by Warner Bros. and The CW as “the newest superhero to board the Waverider and join the ranks of the Legends of Tomorrow. Like her granddaughter, Mari McCabe, Amaya’s powers are derived from the mysterious Tantu Totem, which allows her to magically access the abilities of animals.”
The second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres Thursday, October 13, 8/7c, The CW.
