The ‘Call the Midwife Holiday Special’ Returns to PBS (VIDEO)
At the start of Season 8, it was spring of 1964 and everyone was excited for the Queen’s Royal Birth. With the additions of two new Sisters, who have been sent to live and work with the team in Poplar, Nonnatus House feels full once more.
On the Call the Midwife Holiday Special 2019, airing Wednesday, December 25 on PBS, Mother Mildred (Miriam Margolyes) and the Nonnatus House team go to the Outer Hebrides in response to a nursing shortage.

Navigating the terrain, they strive to keep up with the needs of the locals.
The series also stars Leonie Elliott, Helen George, Linda Bassett, Jenny Agutter, Jennifer Kirby, Cliff Parisi, Stephen McGann and Laura Main.
