Rachel Boston on the Romeo & Juliet Romance of ‘Check Inn to Christmas’ (VIDEO)
Rachel Boston‘s latest Hallmark Channel movie is all about family — both on and off-screen.
The actress’ Check Inn to Christmas, one of the Countdown to Christmas offerings premiering Thanksgiving week, features complicated family relationships and fun cameos that Boston previewed when she stopped by to chat about her character and the movie with TV Insider.
“As she goes home for the holidays, she starts to realize the values that she’s developed over the past few years are no longer in alignment with what she really wants,” Boston said of her character, Julia Crawley. “It’s over the holiday season and being back with her family and realizing the impact she can have in this town that helps her make a shift.”
Also helping her is Ryan Mason (Wes Brown), and while the two do fall in love, she described it as “a little Romeo and Juliet in that their two families do not want them to be together.” But they are good for one another.
“Julia really inspires Ryan to dream bigger as far as his career,” Boston shared. “For Julia, Ryan really grounds her and helps her see how far she’s come.”
