‘This Is Us’ Promotes Lyric Ross to Series Regular for Season 3
This Is Us announced another casting change-up!
Lyric Ross, who plays Déja, has been promoted to a series regular role on the upcoming third season. Ross joined the series in Season 2 when she was placed with the Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown), wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), and their two daughters from the foster care system.
Her journey on the show was nothing short of tear-jerking. After putting up a tough front, Déja finally let down her walls and connected with the Pearsons. Then, her previously incarcerated mother came looking for her and Déja went to live with her.
But when things went south with her mother, the teen called Beth and Randall to ask for help. In the finale, Déja’s mother relinquished her parental rights, which means the Pearsons can finally adopt her. But instead, she lashes out even more by destroying Randall’s car.
