Looks like Atypical is really raising the stakes!

Season 1 of the Netflix comedy followed Sam (Keir Gilchrist) as he navigated high school and finding a girlfriend as a teen on the autism spectrum. But judging by a first look at the second season, this year is going to be about something even more important: applying to college!

TV Insider is exclusively premiering the trailer for the series’ sophomore season, which will feature Sam looking to the future post-high school, while his family deals with their own life changes. Specifically, his sister Casey (Brigette Lundy-Paine) kicks off her own new journey be starting at a new school in which she feels completely out of place.

Also returning this season are Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as family matriarch Elsa, Michael Rapaport as the kids’ father Doug, and Amy Okuda (How to Get Away with Murder) as Sam’s therapist, Julia. Plus, Nik Dodani (Murphy Brown) will be back as Sam’s best friend, Zahid, and Jenna Boyd as Paige, Sam’s on-again, off-again girlfriend.
