Grey Sloan Memorial is growing by one more as Chris Carmack will join the rest of the doctors on Grey’s Anatomy in Season 15.

The Nashville actor, who just wrapped up his role of Will Lexington on the CMT drama last week, will return to the show’s former network ABC for his stint on the medical drama. As of the moment, his character remains vague, though The Hollywood Reporter says he’ll play an orthopedic surgeon with the nickname “Ortho God.”

Details about when his character will pop up in the season are under wraps, though the announcement is surely a welcome one for Nashville fans who just said goodbye to his past gig.

Carmack joins the previously-announced Kim Raver, who will be reprising her role as Dr. Teddy Altman. Slated to premiere Thursday, September 27, Grey’s Anatomy is entering its landmark 15th season — unfortunately, sans Jessica Capshaw‘s Arizona and Sarah Drew‘s April.

With this announcement, we can’t help but wonder if the Ortho God could be a romantic prospect for Ellen Pompeo‘s Meredith. However, we’re holding out hope that Scott Speedman may still return to sweep her off her feet!

Fans will just have to wait and see!
