History maker. Sister. Athlete. Mother. Record breaker. Wife. These are just a few words to describe one of the greatest competitors of all time, tennis star Serena Williams.

In her new, five-part HBO documentary series, Being Serena, Williams pulls the curtain back on a “pivotal moment in her personal and professional life.” The series follows the icon as she becomes a mother for the first time, marries Alexis Ohanian, and makes her comeback to tennis.

The 36-year-old has been open about her health struggles, revealing she almost died after giving birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. The series will also highlight her work in fashion, technology, and philanthropy.

“I put so much pressure on myself. I want to make sure that I’m the best,” she says in the teaser trailer.
