Starz Announces 'Power' Season 5 Premiere Date, Season 6 Renewal

The cast of Power will be back for Seasons 5 and 6 on Starz.

Starz announced on Tuesday that the premiere date for Season 5 of Power will be Sunday, July 1.

The network also revealed some exciting news for the Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson-executive produced series. It has been renewed early for a sixth season, and Jackson, who also stars as Kanan Starks, will be directing the premiere episode.

"As Power wraps production on season five, we want to acknowledge and thank our spectacular Power team for producing another great season," said Starz President of Programming Carmi Zlotnik in a press release. "We are also pleased to announce a pick-up for season six."
