War Dog: A Soldier's Best Friend

Get the tissues ready. After watching HBO's moving new documentary War Dog: A Soldier's Best Friend, which premieres in conjunction with Veterans Day, you're going to want to snuggle with your pup and spoil him or her with a few extra treats.

From director Deborah Scranton and executive producer Channing Tatum, War Dog "shines a light on the life of canines in combat," explores the extraordinary bond between handler and K9, and what happens to the four-legged soldiers when they come back home.

In the film, Army Rangers and Special Operations officers tell emotional stories about how their combat dogs saved lives, became their best friend and ultimately made them a better human being.
