The Girls are growing up.

TVLine has confirmed that HBO’s Girls will end after its sixth season this year. But fans may not be completely surprise, since creator-star Lena Dunham has been claiming in interviews throughout the fall season that her show would be ending soon.

One of her reasons? She’ll be turning 30 in May this year, and since the show encapsulates the lives of twentysomethings, it feels like a fitting time to end.

I guess this Girl will be a woman soon.

For now, fans can still catch Season 5 when it returns with the latest life dramas of Hannah (Dunham), Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet).

Girls, Returns Sunday, Feb. 21, 10/9c, HBO
