Showtime has picked up extra seasons of two fan favorite shows: a sixth season of Homeland and a third season of The Affair.

Homeland

Team Homeland is having a particularly good day: the news comes on the heels of the show’s SAG Award nomination for Claire Danes (Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor in a Drama Series), and a nod for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

The renewal also comes when there are only two episodes left in the current seasons of both shows. On Homeland, Carrie (Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) attempt to prevent an attack on Berlin. As for The Affair, its second season will conclude with a 70-minute finale that answers who actually killed Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell), plus other lingering questions.

Homeland airs Sundays at 9/8c and The Affair airs Sundays at 10/9c on Showtime.
