MTV Reveals First Guests for Rebooted 'TRL'

MTV announced the first two musical guests to appear on the revived and highly anticipated TRL. Ed Sheeran and Migos are set to perform live on the Monday, October 2, season premiere. The music video countdown show will air live at 3:30/2:30c weekdays from the renovated MTV studios in New York's Times Square.

The show will be hosted by D.C. Young Fly and the TRL squad: Tamara Dhia, Amy Pham, Erik Zachary, and Lawrence Jackson. Content creators such as Liza Koshy and The Dolan Twins will also contribute.

The original Total Request Live (TRL) debuted in November 1998 and ran for 10 years. Guests regularly performed their music or were interviewed to promote their latest projects. TRL helped launch the career of Carson Daly, who now appears as an anchor on the Today show and the emcee of the The Voice.
