In the first hour of the Sept. 6 double-episode installment of MasterChef, the seven remaining home cooks are given a mystery box challenge that forces them to create a recipe that focuses on the world’s most widely used utensil—chopsticks! And in this exclusive clip, contestant Jeff gets Chef Aaron Sanchez‘s taste buds sizzling with his tasty-sounding pho.

Also in Wednesday’s first episode, the winner of the mystery box challenge gets a big advantage, leaving the other home cooks to compete in a pasta-themed elimination challenge.

Then, in the night’s second episode, the top six home cooks are split into two teams for a classic MasterChef challenge—a pop-up restaurant. But this is no ordinary dining experience—the customers are food critics, writers and chefs, and the restaurant is located in a Southern California vineyard!
