As fans of many a televised celebrity roast know, Lisa Lampanelli is among the bawdiest of female insult comics. But in her new stand-up comedy special, it’s initially more about the “body,” as she proudly reveals a figure slimmed down by 100-plus pounds. (She’s also sporting a more glamorous ‘do.) But has this new look affected her take-no-prisoners style? Don’t make me laugh—which Lampanelli often shamelessly does. In her latest raucous and proudly vulgar set, La Lampanelli’s politically incorrect appetite for outrageously baiting her willing audience with all manner of ethnic and gay-baiting jokes is still happily and viciously insatiable. Got scruples? Don’t even think of watching.
