‘CIA’ Is After Felix Vincente in Sneak Peek, Plus Nick Gehlfuss Says ‘Bill’s Questioning Everything’
How much is Bill’s (Nick Gehlfuss) time with the fusion cell changing him from the buttoned-up FBI agent he was when we first met him on CIA? Well, perhaps the better question is, how much is what he’s learning about his father (he was CIA!) changing him?
In the latest episode, an operative revealed to Bill that those involved in Operation Palomar (like his father) recruited kids and trained them to kill — and suggested that rather than cancer, his dad was killed by his former asset, hitman Felix Vincente (Sasha Roiz). His investigation into who his dad was is leaving Bill questioning who he is.
“We learned that Guram Dadiani, that prisoner, informs Bill that his father’s time in the CIA was much darker than Bill had thought or maybe just confirmed some of those doubts dealing with the kids-turned-assassins. And we now find that the man who got away from Bill, Felix Vincente, was his father’s favorite student and that Felix Vincente swore to kill his father,” Gehlfuss tells TV Insider. ‘So, his father, carrying the surname Goodman, was his father a good man? If he wasn’t, is Bill a good man? What does that mean for Bill? What does this mean for everything? Bill’s questioning everything. His foundation is just shook.”
He continues, “Bill has an insatiable desire for the truth. Jubal [Jeremy Sisto] says it when he pitches him to Nikki [Necar Zadegan] in Episode 1, Season 1. He’s a grinder. He will work a case until he makes sense of it, no matter how complex. This is the most complex investigation of Bill’s life because it has to do with his life. And so I am so proud of Episode [6]. I’m really excited for audience to see it.”
Gehlfuss enjoys having storylines like this that span 10 episodes. “I’m thankful that we as a show are able to deal with these types of character arcs,” he explains.
TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek of Episode 6, airing November 9. Colin (Tom Ellis) and Bill are following Toni (Angela Sarafyan), who’s being directed by Vincente over the phone. But when Colin looks over at Toni on the platform, he immediately tells her to get out. Watch the clip above to see why.

In this next episode, titled “Legacy,” CBS teases, “When a targeted explosion rocks the Upper East Side and kills an international arms dealer, the team learns the culprit is assassin Felix Vincente. Meanwhile, Bill makes a difficult decision in order to stop him before he turns the fight against the CIA.” FBI‘s Jeremy Sisto guest stars.
