Three-time Olympic medalist Chloe Kim is opening up about her recent ADHD diagnosis, sharing how she navigated self-doubt, embraced her neurodivergence as a “superpower,” and how her boyfriend, NFL star Myles Garrett, reacted to the news.
Speaking with PEOPLE, the 26-year-old admitted that before getting answers, she struggled with everyday tasks like laundry and dishes while feeling unfairly “lazy,” despite pouring intense focus into snowboarding.
Fresh off filming season 5 of The Traitors, Kim credits her ADHD with helping her think outside the box and bring a creative style to her halfpipe dominance—which includes gold in 2018 and 2022 and silver at the 2026 Milan Games.

She said that getting an official diagnosis “provided so much clarity,” which allowed her to work with a psychiatrist to find a non-stimulant medication routine.
That clarity has also translated smoothly into her relationship with Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett. The couple has been together for about a year and a half after after they sparked dating rumors when they attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. In an exclusive interview with the California Post, Kim said that while her energetic personality contrasts with Garrett’s quieter demeanor, he was supportive of her diagnosis.
“He was like, ‘This actually makes a lot of sense for you. I’m proud of you for doing that, and getting the help,'” Kim told the California Post.

Kim said the couple still shares lighthearted household moments and said how on a grocery run she forgot Garrett’s requested cookies because she got distracted buying her preferred snack, which is cheese.
Beyond home life, Kim also provided an update on Garrett’s athletic career. The star pass rusher remains on injured reserve following arthroscopic knee surgery after Week 1, but Kim confirmed he has been working hard to return to practice.
“The thing about that man is he is stubborn in the best ways, and no injury is going to hold him back,” Kim said.
