What To Know

  • Rosie DiMare is set to return for Season 2 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
  • She opened up to TV Insider about what to expect from her and Kelsey Swanson in the next installment.
  • DiMare also pitched the possibility of Joe and Melissa Gorga making a cameo on the show in the future.

Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island featured The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania in a “friend of” capacity, and Rosie DiMare has an idea for another RHONJ crossover in the future.

“I love Melissa [Gorga] from New Jersey,” she told TV Insider at Bravo Fan Fest. “I actually knew her when I was still a news anchor. We used to host live events and stuff and she was at one of them. So I would love to do something with Melissa and Joe [Gorga]. If they ever want to come to Rhode Island for a little trip, we’d love to have them.”

DiMare is expected to return to RHORI for Season 2, which filmed over the summer, although Bravo has not confirmed the full cast list yet. So far, the only confirmation is that Liz McGraw will not be returning to the show.

As for where she stands with Kelsey Swanson, whom she feuded with in Season 1, DiMare said, “We think very differently. I’m very logical. But who knows. There’s always a chance. We’ll see.”

DiMare also explained why she thinks Season 1 was such a breakout hit. “I think we were all really ourselves,” she shared. “We didn’t know anything about brand deals or public opinion, really, so we were just genuinely ourselves, which was good … or bad. And I think people really felt it.”

Alicia Carmody made the same point while speaking with TV Insider in August. “We started off Season 1 literally never knowing what we were doing on a reality TV show,” she admitted. “I was like, ‘I’m 40 years old and living in this small state…’, so you saw us being very raw. Like, is this even going to happen? Is it even going to air? Season 2, we’re like, ‘OK, it’s happening.’ I feel like we’re growing and I think that’s going to be cool for everyone to see.”
