It certainly seems that way! The Drop: A Snowfall Saga has proven to be a streaming success, climbing to No. 1 on Disney+’s U.S. TV chart and holding the top spot for seven consecutive days on September 13–19, 2026.

According to reports, the series enjoyed one of the strongest debut stretches for an FX program on Disney+’s U.S. Top 10 chart, beating out other popular titles.

The show’s success suggests that fans aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the Snowfall universe, even three years after the original series ended. With its first season nearing its conclusion, The Drop has demonstrated that there is still interest in the franchise.

The Season 1 finale is scheduled to air Tuesday, October 27, on FX, with streaming available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for eligible subscribers.

FX’s The Drop: A Snowfall Saga is a continuation of the popular crime drama Snowfall, which ended its six-season run in 2023. Set in early-1990s Los Angeles, the eight-episode spinoff shifts its focus from the crack epidemic to the rise of West Coast rap and the music industry.

The series follows Wanda Bell (Bean), who is determined to make a name for herself in the music business while helping her cousin Lamar Kinsey (Asante Blackk) launch his career. Meanwhile, her ex, Leon Simmons (John), is trying to leave his criminal past behind by working at a free legal clinic in his old hood. Unfortunately, escaping the streets isn’t quite as easy as they hoped, especially when Wanda’s ambitions bring them back into a dangerous world.

Who stars in The Drop: A Snowfall Saga? 

Gail Bean reprises her role as Wanda Bell, a recovering addict entering the music industry as an A&R/label intern, while Isaiah John returns as Leon Simmons, Wanda’s ex former crew member turned community organizer. Asante Blackk plays Lamar Kinsey, Wanda’s little cousin with a musical gift, and Peyton Alex Smith is James Kinsey, Lamar’s protective older brother. Simmie “Buddy” Sims III is Artillery, a gangster rapper who Wanda wants to help, and Mykelti Williamson is James “Big Daddy” Kinsey, the father figure of Wanda’s family.
