Is Cantor married?
Yes! During his third game, Cantor explained how he met his now-wife. Jennings shared that Cantor gets chatty on buses, which led to an encounter with his wife.
“One time in Vancouver, almost 23 years ago, I was taking the number 41 bus, and a stop or two after I got on, a woman got on and sat down near me,” he said. “I certainly noticed her. She pulled out a book, which was the third volume of The Lord of the Rings in German.”
“That told me two things about her: she speaks German, and she’s a nerd. I thought I could work with both of those. So, I tried to think, ‘What’s the coolest thing I can say to try to speak to this woman?’ and I came up with, in German, ‘Did you buy that book here?'”
“Fortunately, she’s very tolerant of less-than-cool things to say,” Cantor said. “23 years later, we have three kids.”
“Heyy! That’s how I met your mother,” Jennings replied. “Congratulations! That’s a great story.”
